Trama:

Sons of Anarchy è un fittizio club di motociclisti a cui sono affiliati diversi gruppi (chapter) principalmente sulla costa occidentale degli Stati Uniti, ma anche in Irlanda, nel Regno Unito e in Svezia.

A Charming, in California, si trova il chapter madre fondato negli anni ’60 dai motociclisti John Teller e Piney Winston. Nel 1993, alla morte del primo a causa di un incidente stradale, il comando passò a Clay Morrow; egli sposò la moglie di Teller, Gemma, e adottò suo figlio Jax, che crescendo venne accolto come membro del club. Sotto il comando di Clay il club prese una strada diversa da quella immaginata originariamente da Teller, divenendo più violento e usando come fonte di sostentamento il traffico illegale di armi.

In età adulta Jax ritrova e legge il manifesto in cui suo padre descrisse i suoi ideali e i suoi timori sul futuro del club, capendo che SAMCRO è cambiato profondamente durante la leadership di Clay. Allo stesso tempo ritrova l’amore per la dottoressa Tara Knowles, una sua fiamma adolescenziale, mentre la sua ex moglie dà alla luce Abel, il suo primo figlio.
